Project Timeline Editor

Have you ever wondered how long it takes to develop a mining project and the sequence of activities that management has undertaken?  Some say it takes 18 years to develop a project, but is that true?
The Project Timeline Viewer and Editor APP is a collaborative online site where anyone can (a) view some mining project timelines, (b) add new milestone events to an existing project, and (c) create a new project and add its milestone events.   Anyone can track the progress of their favorite project and share it with others.   The Project Timeline Viewer does not require a log in step.  However to edit a timeline or create a new one, you will be asked to get a MagicLink sent to your email (hopefully not into your Junk Folder).
To see the projects currently in the database, click this link (Projects Currently in the database).  These are not clickable links.
The goal of the platform is to illustrate how different projects advance from exploration to studies to construction and finally production.   If you have a project of interest, you can create manually it and add to the list in the Editor.  You just need to prepare all the significant milestone, usually collected from new releases.
For each project, one can insert multiple milestone events with the event date and a comment.   The event milestone must consist of one of the following categories below.   The comment field can be used to provide more detail, especially if using "Other".
  • Exploration
  • Mineral Resource Estimate
  • Preliminary Economic Assessment
  • Prefeasibility Study
  • Feasibility Study
  • Permitting Start
  • Permit Approval
  • Construction Start
  • Commissioning
  • Production
  • Other (could be a financing, merger, partnership, etc.)
Template:  You can download a blank template (in html format) to help organize your input data.  Consider  this a MVP (Minimum Viable Product).
Caution: Presently these project timelines are open source and can be modified by anyone at anytime.  Hence there is no guarantee of their accuracy.  If there are any issues, please let me know at kjkltd@rogers.com and the project will be deleted.  Right now only I can delete a project.
This Tracker is login protected but open to everyone to maintain transparency and collaboration.  Zite will not allow unsecured access to their hosted databases.   Sometimes the login emails will go to your Junk Folder - check there if you don't get the Magiclink email.
I'm always happy to hear about ideas, improvements, bugs (nobody said AI is perfect at writing code).
